My current work is a continuation of several areas of earlier exploration. The tobacco barn documentation project is ongoing and I am drawn to small towns like Hastings, Florida, and Flowe’s Store and Wilson in NC. Still in love with rust, I am fascinated by industrial wastelands and recycling yards. Weathered wood, especially when rain saturated, appeals to me. My newer work is often more abstract; simple everyday objects, when carefully observed, can reveal a wealth of pattern, detail and a fantastic color palate.
