I have long been interested in the complex landscapes of cities, the juxtaposition of different historical periods. This grouping of images includes sites both old and new, pitted and smooth, abandoned and restored. Rusted boxcars stand not far from Charlotte’s gleaming skyscrapers. Little Sugar Creek Greenway was built on the site of a derelict shopping center and the railings in the Hearst Building were salvaged from a Paris department store.
